Isla de Lobos — North Fuerteventura

The islet of Lobos, 2 km off Corralejo, holds Europe's longest right-hand point break: up to 400 m of reef wave with tube sections at the foot of the Caldera volcano. Strictly a spot for experts — wave season runs roughly October to March on NW swell, with N–NE winds blowing side-offshore along the point. The islet is a nature reserve with limited daily access; most riders cross by water taxi or boat from Corralejo. The Line Up webcam in Corralejo looks across the channel at the island and its surf zone (best view from September to April).

Wind: 12–25 kn · N, NE — Sports: surf, windsurf — Level: expert

Rules: Lobos is a protected nature reserve: free visitor permit required (two daily slots, 200 people each), landing only at El Puertito, stay on marked paths. Surf priority and heavy localism in the line-up; no kite launching on the islet.

Caution: Shallow volcanic reef with urchins, long hold-downs and strong current through the channel; remote line-up far from help. Experts only — do not underestimate the crossing.
