Capo Testa — North Sardinia
Sardinia's northernmost point. Extreme Mistral, wave spots for experts.
Wind: 20–50 kn · NW, W, N — Sports: surf, windsurf, kite — Level: advanced — On site: school
Water: Moderate onshore wave at the SW bay, up to ~3m offshore in strong Maestrale; the north Santa Reparata bay works less often and needs NE/N.
Launch: Start/launch in the right half of the SW-facing bay; a causeway road separates it from Bahia di Santa Reparata to the north.
Rules: Sardinia's northernmost point, on the isthmus — two spots either side of the road. In strong NW Maestrale (Mistral) the wind is partly blanketed inside the bays, so sail out for steady wind and up to ~3 m wave; SW/W turns it side-/cross-onshore with a sheltered clean sand break.
Caution: North-side spot is rock-framed with a rocky bottom — watch for sea urchins; in Mistral there is no beach to land downwind (drift east), dangerous and expert-only.
