Water: Lagoon is consistently flat — ideal for freestyle and speed. Outside, beyond the sandbar, there's proper wave-riding in clear blue water. On days when the sea is too big or the wind too strong, kiters concentrate in the lagoon; above ~30kn, only speed-sailors go out.
Launch: Via the road to San Pietro a Mare, continuing to the 'embarcadero' locality — a car park directly on the water among fishing boats, with a small bar. A windsurf/kite/SUP school (run by 'Antonio') is ~20m away and offers a taxiboat service to/from the beach, including for non-riding companions.
Rules: Two options: the flat, shallow Coghinas river mouth/lagoon (ideal for beginners, safe in most winds) and the wave at sea outside. Works best in Maestrale/Ponente (NW/W); functions almost year-round except July–August.
Caution: The outside wave spot suits advanced riders (current, loops). The lagoon is enclosed and shallow — low hazard for learners.
