Cala Liberotto — East Sardinia
Sandy coves Gulf of Orosei. Light wind, beginner.
Wind: 8–18 kn · NE, E, SE — Sports: windsurf, surf, SUP — Level: beginner — On site: school, rental, food
Water: Shallow, gradually shelving turquoise water; small, sheltered bay rather than an open swell-exposed beach.
Launch: Rig in the pine-shaded car park area right behind the beach (paid parking, 'Sa Prama' area, ~50 m from the sea); beach is compact (approx. 210 m long, ~25 m wide) so space for riders is limited, shared with swimmers — not spacious for a big group launch.
Rules: Sandy coves in the Gulf of Orosei among granite rocks and pinewood; light-wind beginner area, mainly NE (late summer/autumn) and SE (spring) winds.
Caution: Granite rocks fringe the sandy coves — watch your footing and downwind drift; mostly light winds.
