Porto Pino — South Sardinia

Caribbean-style beach with dunes. Wave + flat behind the sandbar.

Wind: 10–30 kn · W, NW, S — Sports: kite, windsurf, wing, surf — Level: intermediate — On site: school, rental, food, WC, camping

Water: Chop to wave, gusty especially close to shore because the high dunes upwind disturb the wind; not beginner-friendly.

Rules: Kitesurfing is not allowed from mid-June to mid-September (no corridor, many bathers); the rest of the year you can ride the first beach section or by the dunes. The dunes (Is Arenas Biancas) lie inside the Capo Teulada military range and are accessible only in summer.

Caution: Gusty wind, especially side-off Mistral and Scirocco; choppy or wavy water — not for beginners.
